Baby's first trip to Bear Lake
We decided to get out of town for the 4th of July weekend, and in hindsight I would have much rather stayed home. Pictures are great, but nothing has been more exhausting. (Well, childbirth maybe!) I can't believe all the crap we have to pack just for a few days! The swing, the bumbo, the stroller (and not the good one), a bazillion diapers, 50 changes of outfits for her 50 blow-outs a day, her sleeping container, etc. etc.!! And, Amelia is turning out to be a bit of a home-body, which means she isn't really too much like me. She was all sorts of "off" all weekend. Didn't sleep hardly at all, which meant I didn't sleep at all! She started getting sick our last day there, and was just all sorts of cranky. The pics we have though don't show it - it's amazing what a verse of ABC's will do! But we did have fun with my family. Mark's Dad is out of town for the whole month, so we took my Mom, Adam, Marianne, and Holly along. Oh, and of course Tuck! He was a little out of sorts as well and couldn't figure out how to get down from the upstairs so he just stared at us through the railing. Melissa and the kids stopped by for a visit as well and she thought she would feed Amelia her first Nilla wafer. Hhmmm. Obviously she is her Daddy's little girl because she loved the dang cookie! I'm sure we will look back on these pictures and remember what a fun time we had, but as for now, I don't think I will be travelling anywhere anytime soon! And I will for sure check the weather better because it was FREEZING in July. No lake, no beach, no water skiing. Major bummer. She pretty much stayed in the same outfit all weekend. I'm realizing that with a baby now, I won't be celebrating my "Independance Day" quite the same way anymore!

Cute, cute pictures. Love the tongue one of her on Mark's shoulder. Poor Tuck, he looks stranded on that balcony. That's cute how Amelia is holding onto Melissa's finger for dear life, or is it dear cookie?
OH but she's so beautiful! SHe's worth giving up your independence for, isn't she??
